Breeding conditions:
|
| Short-eared Owls and Gyrfalcons were seen. Spring migration of waders started on 16 April, when Oystercatches appeared in the central part of the bay, and was over by mid June. Observations of displaying Woodcocks were made which is a rare event for the area. As in the previous years Bar-tailed Godwits were migrating in flocks reaching 100 birds, but low abundance of migrating Ruffs and Temminck's Stints was, probably, typical for 2003 spring. Autumn migration of waders was of low intensity in the southern part of the bay, and was extremely prolonged on the Murman coast. Flocks of Turnstones reaching 100 birds and totalling approximately 300 waders appeared in the central Kolsky Bay in mid September and stayed there until mid October. The last Turnstones were seen on 8 December. Numbers of migrating Ruffs decreased compared with the previous years.

Rodent dynamics:
|
| Burrows and piles of soil reaching 1-2 kg were found in the city after melt of the first snow in the beginning of winter and everywhere after snow melt in spring. These tracks were presumably left by Tundra, Short-tailed or Common voles.

Rodent species recorded:

| Latin | Abundance |
| Clethrionomys rufocannus | rare |
| Microtus sp. | common |
